TURBO AIR by ESAU & HUEBER is a high-performance system for highly efficient mixing of process gases into liquids. Originally developed for wort aeration, the patented technology is now also used for yeast aeration, propagation, carbonation, nitrogenation and other applications in brewing and biotechnology.
At the heart of the system is the patented ESAU & HUEBER two-fluid nozzle, which introduces gases into the liquid in an extremely fine form, enabling very high mass transfer.

How TURBO AIR works
Inside the nozzle, the introduced process gas is initially distributed finely around the liquid. The special nozzle geometry additionally accelerates and compresses the liquid. During the subsequent sudden decompression, the gas bubbles are transformed into extremely fine microbubbles.
This very fine bubble structure significantly increases the interfacial area between gas and liquid, resulting in particularly efficient gas dissolution. System performance is essentially limited only by physical boundary conditions such as temperature and pressure.
